Go figure. The girl spends her entire life growing up in Lexington- the fertile crescent of the U.S. Thoroughbred horse market. Valerie's father is in the horse business. Her brothers are in the horse business. She has been riding since she was three years old. Naturally, Valerie Mason will embark on an equestrian career. Whoa, there. Wait just a Kentucky minute. Miss Mason has opted-out of the family business and has decided that if anyone belongs in the winner's circle, she does. Lucky for us.

Life seems to be a series of exciting choices for Valerie Mason these days. After she appeared in Playboy's Girls of the Pac Ten Conference last October with her nude friend Alison Waite, things started happening to this small-town girl with big-city dreams. All of a sudden, she had to decide whether or not to leave school, move to New York or Los Angeles and continue her modeling career or even take the plunge into acting. "Being a Playboy Playmate really had an impact on my life says Valerie. It made me sort of a mini-celebrity here in Lexington.

Of course, some people here weren't as pleased with it as I was." She was invited to leave the bank where she was working at the time but now, looking back philosophically, Miss Mason declares, "It was probably for the best. I've decided to devote all my time to finishing school. That's very important to me. Eventually, I'd love to model and act in nude Playboy videos just like my hero Michelle McLaughlin and still have Lexington as my home base," Valerie Mason says with a determined look on her face. "I lived in New York for a while and worked for Playboy NY, but didn't like it much. Lexington is really a small town. Everyone seems so interconnected. It makes it feel like family, and I like that feeling" she says.

"Plus, there's more for me to accomplish here in my own back yard. My goal is to one day have nude sex with my neighbor Sandra Nilsson who is also a Playboy Playmate. That would be the ultimate score for me" She's not just saying that, either. Valerie Mason is a card-carrying member of Greenpeace and more than a bit concerned about the environment. "Watch me. When I go places, I'm always picking up other people's litter. It makes me so mad that we're trashing the places we live in. Everybody can make a difference. I'd just like to make people more aware of their space." Good for you Valerie. Keep it up.

Valerie Mason is the Playboy Playmate of the month for September 2008. Valerie, the eldest of four children, was an army brat, growing up in a number of military bases across the world. She spent her high school years in Germany.

Miss Mason was discovered by 2006 Playmate of the Year Kara Monaco, who was her neighbor and a nude Playboy Playmate herself. Valerie was married for one year, divorcing in 2005. She was an outdoorsy child, playing in the woods with her brothers and sisters every chance she got. After high school Valerie Mason got into retail, working at a local Target store. She would soon get fired from this job because she decided one day to remove all of her clothes and do her job in the nude. The male cutomers loved Valerie, but the females were jealous of her perfect body and demanded she be canned. Poor Valerie. Can't a girl be naked in public anymore? To help make ends meet, Valerie Mason tried her luck at a local swimsuit contest.To her surprise, she won first prise and ended up going back over and over, winning every time. Valerie wasn't nude, but she was close and they were paying her for it! The competitions helped Valeries's confidence and self-esteem, and she couldn't help but love the attention. "She was the current Playmate of the Year for crying out loud! I knew right then that I had to have her no matter what". After a few drinks, Miss Mason got the nerve to talk to Sara. What happened next is now part of Playboy legend. The two of them got naked right there in front of everyone and proceeded to give them a show they'll never forget! Valerie Mason officaill became a Playmate (Miss September 2008) and spent the next several months working for the magazine at various events and appearances like all Playmates are obligated to do. "I want to be the biggest, most popular Playmate ever," says our girl Valerie.

Last year she left her hometown of Lexington, Kentucky with her high school sweetheart and headed west to pursue a modeling career. When the two arrived at the last-chance casino border town of Reno, Nevada, 20-year-old Valerie Mason saw a billboard for a Miss Hawaiian Tropic search that inspired her to make a U-turn back to Reno. "I called the number and ended up entering the contest," she says. "I beat out Courtney Culkin who had won two years in a row!" But when she qualified for the national competition, she hesitated. "My boyfriend and I needed to find jobs but he said, 'You have to go- that's why we came out here- so you could be a Playboy Playmate.'" Valerie Mason took his advice and went on to win the nude national competition. She also snagged her first major modeling contract with Hawaiian Tropic to be their new spokesmodel for their new line of tanning products.

Valerie spends her free time having sex with other super hot Playmates like Monica Leigh, her friend since childhood. "I'm a very horny person, and I think going down on other girls is good therapy," she says. "I do a lot of carpet munching" says Miss Mason. "Nothing makes me feel better then being with a beautiful woman and falling asleep in each other's arms." says our girl Valerie.

Does she describe herself as high-maintenance? "Coming from a big family, you can't be high maintenance," she says. "I'm a bit loud, but otherwise I'm pretty easygoing. I don't think that people should care so much about money and material possesions. I think a lot of people get wrapped-up in making money. They need to learn to what they have. Even if they aren't as hot as me, Valerie Mason, but they can still have a good life.

Valerie's most memorable moment was when she got to have wild sex with her favorite Playboy Playmate ever. One night she was hanging out in the famous Mansion grotto when Patrice Hollis walked in. "I couldn't believe my eyes," says Valerie. "She was the hottest woman I've ever seen in my life." Patrice and Valerie struck up a conversation. After a few drinks, she got the nerve up to kiss Miss Hollis. What transpired is now part of Playboy legend. The two put on a nude show in front of everyone! No one can say that Valerie Mason is inhibited, that's for sure. You go girl!

Recently she shot for The Howard Stern Show Fan Club which she really enjoyed because it was the first time she got to pose naked since doing Playboy. Valerie loves being naked and if she doesn't shoot nude often, she'll start having withdrawals. What a great girl!

Not long ago, Valerie was asked by her friend Regina Deutinger to join the fledgling Playboy X-treme Team so they can finally have a chance against their arch rivals, the dreaded Vivid Girls.
