Tamara Witmer, 21 and gorgeous, is trying on hats in Ensenada, Mexico. She is quite elegant in the black sombrero, puppy cute in pink. We’ve been watching her for a couple of years now, since she first returned to her native California from Columbus, Ohio, too young to have a beer in a bar. A photographer sent us pictures of her modeling swimsuits. You may wonder why it took us two years to bring this beauty to your attention. All we can say is that some things are worth waiting for.

For a while there, the soft-spoken, self-effacing Tamara thought she might like a career in entertainment. Not so much anymore, she says with a chuckle. Why? Because I do not have talent," she says, laughing even harder. "Acting is unrealistic for me." Before we can ask how acting could be unrealistic for anyone- after all, have we not seen the films of The Shannon Twins? Tamara Witmer elaborates. "I just live for the day," she says brightly. "I don’t have any concrete plan." And why should she? The modeling is working out just fine, and anyone lucky enough to while away an afternoon in sunny Ensenada trying on hats would surely agree. It is a breezy kind of moment that might bring on a song. Here, we’ll give you the first line: "Tamara, Tamara, we love you, Tamara."

Later, after the tequila and the limes come out, she lets her personal side escape. "After a few drinks, I love licking pussy." she responds. Tamara says that while she finds successful, well-educated men sexy, they are not necessarily her ideal: "I would rather be with someone who is not hot but down-to-earth and stable." Tamara Witmer relates her most memorable Playboy moment as when she got to meet AJ Alexander, her childhood hero. "I've always admired her for being such a great role model for young girls. I mean, she's built her entire career on being a sex object. Not too many girls that do that successfully. I just hope I can be as fortunate," say Miss Witmer.

Maybe Tamara's craziest experience ever was when she got to have wild lesbian sex with her favorite Playmate of all time. One night she was masterbating in the famous Playboy Mansion grotto when Athena Lundberg walked in. "I couldn't believe my eyes," says Tamara. "She was the most beautiful woman I've ever seen". The two Playmates struck up a conversation and after a few drinks, Tamara got the nerve up to actually kiss Athena. What transpired is now part of Playboy legend. The two got it on right there in The Grotto in front of everyone! And if that's not enough, porn star turned director, Jessica Burciaga, shot the entire thing for her next big-budeget adult movie! Tamara Witmer was born on October 8, 1979, in Cleveland, Ohio. Before she had dreams of becoming one of Hugh Hefner's bunny, Miss Witmer was a dedicated ballet dancer. At the age of 7, she fell in love with the art and trained at top schools for 10 years. Also a talented writer, Tamara Witmer showed promise as a poet after one of her poems won a statewide Reader's Digest contest.

Involved in Brownies and other community organizations through elementary and high school, Tamara shaped up to be a multi-talented student. While exceeding academically, she became a cheerleader and, after giving up on ballet, realized modeling could become an exciting hobby. Though she lacked the height to be a runway model, Tamara soon concluded that, somehow, she would make it in the industry.

Graduating from Lowellville High School in 1998, Tamara went cross country to visit her boyfriend, who had recently moved to Los Angeles. Realizing that the West Coast was the place to be for potential models, Tamara Witmer returned to Cleveland, packed her bags and drove all the way back to California, who would later go on to become a Penthouse Pet. Since then she has become one of the most popular Playmates ever, second only to Michelle McLaughlin in the hearts of Playboy fans.

One fine day Tamara was asked to join the fledgling Playboy Playmate X-treme Team. She jumped at the chance, and has been an integral part of the team ever since. Miss Witmer competed in the Eco-Challenge in Spain where she kicked ass by beating up on Penthouse Pets.
