Playboy Playmate Video Calendar: Sara Jean Underwood
Preliminary Notes:
Besides scene selection, the only other features on this DVD is a slide show and previews for other Playboy videos. Like all the other video Playmate Calendars, this one gives each Playmate five different segments of their own. The first is always the more energetic, with upbeat music and quick edits and camera movements. The girls are usually portrayed as having fun frolicking in the sun and splashing around in water. The last segment usually takes the girl to an indoor location where she inevitably masturbates herself into a frenzy. The music is softer and the edits and camera movements are slower. The girls are usually portrayed as sophisticated ladies in these. So that's all well and good, but since we all know that the only Playmate that REALLY matters is Sara Jean Underwood, then I'm only going to review her segments. Suffice to say that the other scenes are all good as well- they're Playboy Playmates for crying out loud. But all I care about is Sara, so that's all you'll get here.
Introduction

The same lame opening you see with all the Playmate Video Calendars with the covers of past calendars slowly wiz by. Then we see still shots of all the upcoming Playmates. Maybe it's time to get something new here guys.
Scene 12: Miss July: Sara Jean Underwood
(51:29-56:18)
This scene contains a montage of shots showing Sara Jean in skimpy clothing on a city street. The camera pans up over her perfect body. There is one shot of her from behind as the camera pans up over her legs to very short cut-offs which is really nice. Miss Underwood's legs are truly amazing. She's often seen wearing a yellow raincoat with either a bikini underneath, or nothing at all which is a nice tease for Sara fans. She's completely nude in a number of shots and the camera pans up over her body within close range.
We then get to voyeuristically peek in through a keyhole at our fave Playmate Sara Jean Underwood. We go inside for a closer look. She's in an empty room sitting on a chair in just a black a bra and panties. Fellow Playmate Jayde Nicole is there masturbating in the corner of the room while watching Sara. Once again we look through the keyhole and Sara Jean Underwood is completely nude, wearing only knee-high stockings and black heels (nice touch). We go inside for a closer look. Sara Jean gets the full-frontal treatment with the camera panning over her kitty, passed her breasts, to her lovely face. She may not be quite as hot Jayde, but Sara Jean Underwood has a more natural "girl next door" look to her that makes this scene believable.
But just when things look normal, strange hands seem to be reaching for Miss Underwood through the rubbery walls like something out of a horror movie. She leans up against the wall as these hands try to reach through and fondle her. There are more shots of Sara’s amazing body with the camera panning up her. The hands, through the rubbery wall, continue to fondle her. The nightmarish scene gets weirder when 2006 Playmate of the Year Kara Monaco nude shows up out of nowhere, just to laugh at Miss Underwood. After struggling for a while, Sara gives in and lets the strange hands fondle her buns and breasts. There are more shots of the hands fondling every part of Sara’s perfect body as she appears to reach orgasm. The segment ends with the camera panning back through the keyhole.
This was a very strange scene, to say the least, but it was very erotic and showed off our girl Sara Jean Underwood quite well. My only complaint would be that the groping hands also showed just how fake Sara's breasts really are. They didn't "give" like natural tits do. This scene made me long for natural chested Playmates like Destiny Davis whose breasts are stunning or Russian Playmate Dasha Astafieva who doesn't have much boobage, but at least they're real, you know? Sara Jean Underwood's tits look like two catalope halves glued to her chest.
In between these two scenes we get a little "behind the scenes" action with Sara. She chats it up about her life and her experiences with Playboy. As usual, we learn little real information about the model herself. Playmates always babble on about themselves and their careers but never really say anything interesting, so these segments quickly turn tedious. I suppose the video have to include them, but they’re totally skippable unless you just need every second of Miss Underwood that you can possibly get. The only one that is interesting is the one with Sara and fellow Playmate Spencer Scott nude telling about the photo shoot they recently did together. Sounds like they had a good time. Too bad Playboy didn't include that shoot in this DVD. It would have helped.
Sarah Jean really stands out among previous Playmate of the Year winners. She has quite a unique look and a genuine sweetness about her. This DVD clocks in around 37 minutes with an additional 15 minutes of behind-the-scenes footage with Miss Underwood. There are two traditional playmate profiles on Athena Lundberg and Monica Leigh but I didn't notice any new footage other than their interviews which were pretty lame.
The one disappointing thing about this DVD is that Playboy didn't continue what they had done with the 2005 and 2006 PMOY DVDs and include Sarah's additional scenes from the 2007 Calendar DVD (especially the lemonade scene). It was nice to have previous PMOY winners videos all in one place but this wasn't the case with this year's release. Oh well.

Playboy Plamate Video Calendar: Sara Jean Underwood appears in an aspect ratio of 1.33:1 on this single-sided, single-layered DVD. While not perfect, it was better looking than most Playboy products. Colors was mostly positive. The tones consistently looked natural and vibrant. Overall, the main problems was softness, but the program was still attractive enough to earn a “B“. Sharpness seemed decent. At times, some softness popped up, usually due to a gauzy style of photography apparently meant to smooth out some of Sara Jean’s harsh features. Delineation was erratic, as some shots were crisp and concise while others looked liked they’d smeared Vaseline on the lens which is typical Playboy. Especially the scene with Lindsay Wagner nude. You can hardly even see what's going on!
So in conclusion I'd have to say that this is a really good video. Playboy Plamate Video Calendar: Sara Jean Underwood is a very good attempt to showcase our girl Sara in all her naked glory. I love Sara Jean and these scenes really do her justice. They’re well shot, very erotic and really deliver the goods.
So if you're a big Sara Jean Underwood fan and you feel the need to see her totally nude, then you MUST own this video. It'll give you many hours of Sara spanking pleasure. Enjoy!
