Raquel Gibson

Raquel Gibson was born on June 14, 1985 in Clearwater, Florida. She is of Filipino and Italian descent.

Prior to posing for Playboy, Raquel Gibson was a member of the US National Bikini Team. She was the third team member to pose for Playboy in 2005; the first was Tamara Witmer and the other was Amanda Paige. She appeared in the second episode of the E! network television show The Girls Next Door, a reality television program that chronicles the lives of Hugh Hefner's girlfriends living at the Playboy Mansion. In the scene Raquel was seen auditioning to be a Playmate. Obviusly she made it and became Miss November for 2005.

Raquel's older sister, C.J. Gibson, is also a model. The two often appear in print as "The Gibson Sisters". C.J. Gibson has also been romantically linked to fellow PlaymateAlison Waite who is a friend of Raquel's. Small world, isn't it?

Miss Gibson is a bodacious babe. Yes, that was the most appropriate description that came out of this week's voting panel on the former Playmate. Though the adjective is one-dimensional, it's right on target for the Florida native who made a splash as one of the more charismatic bunnies of the last few years.

An audition for Playboy's Book of Lingerie at a model search in Cleveland led Raquel to the coveted title in 2005, along with a check for of $25,000. Raquel Gibson enjoyed her experience posing for the magazine. "I feel by posing for Playboy I've discovered my own sexuality and beauty, and I feel more confident than ever" Raquel says.

But it hasn't been all roses and champagne for Raquel Gibson. She has endured struggles and disappointment since trying to jump-start her showbiz career. In fact, a recent gig as a "Bob Barker beauty" is her most high-profile since her 2005 centerfold spread. Yes, she has joined the cast of The Price Is Right, the longest running game show on television. It isn't her ideal job, she wants to host shows like E!'s Wild On, currently hosted by uber-babe and 2006 Playmate of the Year Kara Monaco nude. Unfortuneately for Miss Gibson, she needs to realize that this is easier said than done, and that she is more likely to be cast as the sexy side-show model than as a news anchor.

Raquel Gibson's recent media buzz has been less than flattering. She has been embroiled in a controversy between NFL quarterbacks Cade McNown and Tim Couch. As first reported in Sports Illustrated, Couch (who used to date Raquel) introduced his model girlfriend to McNown, which lead to him falling head over heals for Miss Gibson. To win over the super-babe, he dumped his current Playmate girlfriend Heather Rene Smith, and began an all-out pursuit that included constant phone calls, a mini-fortune of flowers delivered to her, and keys to his Porsche. It worked, for a while Raquel Gibson moved to Chicago to be beside the Chicago Bear quarterback. But soon she was back in the arms of her lesbian lover Regina Deutinger who she had lived with previously. The two have been together ever since.

When the story got picked up by several agencies, Raquel (sensing an opportunity to bolster her career) called several publications to make sure they included a flattering picture of her. Not exactly positive buzz is it? But the relationship is unlikely to last, since McNown, who pretends to be a choir boy, pulled a similar stunt with Hugh Hefner's ex-girlfriend Laura Croft nude, that led him to be expelled from "The Mansion." Poor guy. What a sap to fall so hard for a vixen like Raquel Gibson.
