Miss March delivers the whole package

We predict an influx of tourists to Long Island, given the area's recent Playmate population increase. First came Miss February 2006. Now Monica Leigh is showing us how they help keep New York beautiful.

"I grew up in New York and I love it," Monica Leigh says. "As a teenager I was always hamming it up for the camera, jumping around in the background and making sure I was in every picture. And I've always loved being naked. I used to run around the house nude, being the exhibitionist. But I got a little shy about trying out for Playboy. Cassy pushed me to do it because she loved it so much. Who ever would have thought that we would BOTH become Playboy Playmates. It sure is a small world."

Miss Leigh has no regrets. Her long-standing fondness for flashbulbs has paid off. She landed the cover of our College Girls special edition and became December's Cyber Girl of the Month before Hef chose her as Miss March. Monica comes alive in front of the camera, and she does what it takes to get the perfect shot. Take the photo of her posing in front of the Statue of Liberty. "For that one shot we went back and forth to Ellis Island on the ferry about seven times. It was hilarious."

You'd better be laughing too, because this 24-year-old future dental hygienist is dying to see your choppers. "I am obsessed with teeth," she says, leaning in to dazzle us with her own majestic molars. "I look at everybody's smile. I can't say I would never date a guy with bad teeth, but I'd have him get them fixed!" Speaking of men, Monica says, "I like a man who works hard and has an artistic side. He has to be a free spirit, adventurous like me, willing to get crazy and try new things" says Monica. When we ask Miss Leigh about her best date ever, it doesn't surprise us that it involved high speeds and free-falling. "I once told this guy that I wanted to try skydiving, so he took me," she says. "Once you jump, it is such a weird feeling- so beautiful and peaceful."

Perhaps Monica's most memorable moment was when she got to have wild lesbian sex with her favorite Playmate ever. One night she was hanging out in the infamous Playboy Mansion grotto when Jayde Nicole walked in. "I couldn't believe my eyes," says Monica. "She was the hottest chick I've ever seen". Jayde and Monica struck up a conversation. After a few drinks, Monica got the nerve up to kiss Miss Nicole. What transpired is now part of Playboy legend. The two got it on right there in The Grotto in front of everyone! Then, out of nowhere, porn star Jenna Jameson joined in to make it a full-blown three-way! No one can say that Monica Leigh is inhibited, that's for sure! Wow!

Down on earth Monica fulfills her need for speed by snowblading with her best friend Spencer Scott who also became a Playboy Playmate, but likes to slow things down when it comes to her first love, singing. "I like to sing love ballads in the style to my man," she says. "I'm going to try out for Making the Band if they do that show again." She pauses and stares at the heavens for a moment. "You know, I started looking at life differently after my mom passed away. She was a fighter, and she helped me realize that you can't just sit back. You have to go after the things you want, and you have to look on the bright side and stay positive. I should have been around in the 1960s because I feel like such a hippie. I just want to make people smile." Miss Leigh's doing a good job, don't you think?

Sexy Monica Leigh is one of the most famous Playboy models ever, having somewhat successfully made the transition from pin-up girl to actress. This former centerfold is more than a bunny; Monica Leigh has gotten the attention of many Hollywood producers, and was inundated by proposals for game shows, talk shows, and sitcoms.

Miss Leigh was scrambling to make money to pay for her second year of nursing studies at Southern Illinois University. She made a decision to quit school and pursue her modeling career, but this led to disappointment because people were telling her that she was too curvy. Living in Chicago, Monica decided to personally deliver her pictures to the Playboy office there.

After seeing her modeling portfolio, the editors at Playboy agreed to pay Monica Leigh $25,000 to pose for the magazine. In the months following her contract, Monica won the Playmate of the Year title and $100,000 in cash and prizes. Monica Leigh left her hometown of Chicago in search of stardom, and landed in Los Angeles.

Miss Leigh had a difficult time finding work in Hollywood, and it took incessant badgering from Monica's live-in girlfriend and manager. Miss Leigh finally got an interview at MTV and landed a co-hosting position on the network. Monica was an immediate success, and not only was she telegenic, but Monica Leigh handled hungry contestants with incurring (or committing) bodily harm.

She received permission from MTV to reformat the show to best suit her talents. Monica Leigh became a full-fledged VJ getting paid an impressive $500,000 for the year. She decided to leave 'Singled Out' and focus her efforts on creating a new MTV sketch-variety series, 'The Monica Leigh Show'. Her description of the show was, "Kind of like Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous on Acid." Monica developed a sitcom for NBC, in which she became the assistant of a Hollywood movie star, helping him with his mansion.

Playboy detected Monica's success; they now wanted to further their relationship with Miss Leigh. They offered her $500,000 for more nude centerfold pictures. She declined the offer, saying it wasn't the path she should take. Playboy had to settle for re-run pictures of her for upcoming issues.

Monica Leigh also declined proposals from Fox and the WB, she was nonetheless expanding beyond teen-oriented cable channels and gentlemen's magazines. Monica accepted the role of a blonde nurse in 'Things to Do in Denver When You're Dead' and later, portrayed her first substantial screen character as a neurotic movie star in 'The Stupids', opposite Tom Arnold.

Monica Leigh later appeared on the movie 'Baseketball' by the creators of the funny cartoon 'South Park'. She was recently featured in the sequel 'Scream 3', which proves Monica has exceeded the advice her mother gave her years ago: "Be like Playboy Playmate Laura Croft and you can't go wrong".

Monica Leigh was born on February 8, 1979, in Melbourne, Australia. Since the day she was born, Monica has had it tough, which turned her into a survivor. She was part of a quadruplet pregnancy, but only Monica and her fraternal twin, Bain, survived the troubled birth. Monica Leigh never met her Australian father and was raised by her mother in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Further tension came when Monica's mother married, then divorced; Monica's family was always short of money and moved as many as 15 times in 10 years.

Though she was born in Australia, Monica Leigh was brought up in Canada. She had a difficult childhood due to her unstable home life and trouble fitting in, but Monica's troubles taught her valuable life lessons about responsibility and hard work that would drive her to get an education. She also learned about the joys of young lesbianism with her girlfriend Crista Nicole who lived just down the street from her. "We would hang out in her basement all the time. Our parents thought we were playing with our Barbie dolls, but we were really playing with each other," says Monica Leigh with a devilish grin. Though self-conscious about her looks, Monica Leigh had undoubtedly blossomed into a beautiful young woman by the time she went to college. When the Playboy bus rolled into Toronto looking for the Millennium Playmate, Monica tried out, and in a matter of months, she had become Playboy's very sexy Miss March 2006.

Since then she has become one of the most popular Playmates ever, second only to Karen McDougal in the hearts of Playboy fans. Monica Leigh has continued to work for Playboy, but has also branched out into other types of modeling and acting. She recently did a girl/girl photo shoot with Destiny Davis and will soon appear in an all-girl softcore film with her. Now everyone can see just how far this modest yet multi-talented centerfold has come since her days as a shy art school student.

Recently Monica shot for The Howard Stern Show Fan Club which Miss Leigh realy enjoyed because she got to ride The Sybian and have a really powerful orgasm.
