Michelle McLaughlin is a beautiful American model. She was Playboy's Cyber Girl of the Week in the 3rd week of December 2007, and Cyber Girl of the Month in January 2008. She was selected as the Playmate of the Month for the February 2008 issue of Playboy magazine which made all of us here at Centerfold Heaven very happy.

After she won several beauty pageants such as the National Bikini Contest in 2005 and Miss Hawaiian Tropic in 2006, Michelle McLaughlin was offered to be a Playboy centerfold. When asked about how she feels about being a Playboy model, Michelle says, "A lot of Playmates look like Playmates, you know? Like Dasha Astafieva. Now that chick looks like the typical nude Playboy centerfold. Harsh face, big fake boobs, you know. I'm not knocking her or anything, it's just that I look so girl-next-door and wholesome compared to her." Ouch. Kitten has claws! For Michelle McLaughlin it's a lot easier to play the secretary or the nice girl because she's not really vampy at all. Her association with Playboy is great for getting the pretty girl roles but for anything more serious like hosting, not everyone likes that. Michelle remarks, "There are exceptions, but I've actually been turned down for jobs because I was in Playboy. Whatever. You win some, you lose some." You go girl!

Miss McLaughlin is the kind of girl you can take home to meet your parents and be proud. Not knowing her resume, you might never guess she was topped by only Sara Jean Underwood as the favorite Playboy Playmate of this century. But Michelle kept Playboy honest with its slogan of representing the "girl next door." Her look, although just as beautiful as any woman to ever appear nude in the magazine, has helped Michelle McLaughlin the actress battle the constant problem of being typecast as a stripper, hooker, etc. She has worked hard at her craft and it is begining to pay off. Michelle recently shot a television pilot. "It's about a Playboy Playmate and a washed-up porn star who live together and have lots of crazy adventures," she says. Sounds good to us. When is it on?

Although Hef's industry has played a large part in Michelle's's career so far, the budding actress has had other projects up her sleeve of late. Besides her appearances on the Playboy Channel, Miss McLaughlin has worked on television as a westling diva, and has appeared as herself on The Jimmy Kimmel Show, she was a finalist on America's Top Model, and had a small part in the daytime drama General Hospital where she played a stripper in search of her evil twin. So there's TWO Michelle's? Cool!

Despite her willingness to shed her clothes and inhibitions, Michelle McLaughlin said she isn't a real party girl and doesn't drink or smoke because she likes to take care of her nude body. "I'm a Playboy Playmate but I don't go to the mansion very often. Not like my roommate Laura Croft who is a totall party girl. What a lush she is!!! I've only been to one big party. I'm going to another party this month and plan to hook up with fellow Playmate Sandra Nilsson. OMG she's hot! I can't wait!!!

Miss McLaughlin is open about her sexuality when asked. "Yes, I'm very sexual at home, in bed, but I don't go out much because if you do, then you're no longer a mystery to people and they get over you," she said. "I don't think appearing nude in Playboy changed the way men look at me. They'll look at an attractive woman whether she's in Playboy or not. There's nothing wrong with that at all. It's normal. If I see an attractive person, I look too. If men know you've been in Playboy they put you on a higher status. Even for women, being a Playmate is a huge deal with them. Of course, they're all jealous of me," she says.

Michelle McLaughlin says she is comfortable with people associating her likeness with sex. "Sure, why not? We all want to be sexy, don't we?" she said. "If a girl tells you that she'd be offended if someone was to think of her as a sex symbol, she's full of it. She'd LOVE to be seen in that way! So yeah, I have no problem with being a sex object and having guys lusting after me. It's kind of cool, really. Guys come up to me all the time and say "Michelle McLaughlin, you're so hot. I jerked-off to you last night." It's so flattering that they're getting off thinking about me. I just love it!"

I've got to tell you that I had a total blast shooting my Playmate centerfold pictorial. Playboy's photo editors spread my shoot out over several days, so it was a long process, but tons of fun. My favorite shots were the bathroom scene because I got to cover my body with lotion and play with myself in the shower. The scene where I'm fooling around with Regina Deutinger started out as kind of a joke, but they liked it so much that Playboy ended up using the shots in the magazine! Can you believe that? I just love my nude centerfold and the wonderful clothes I got to wear (and take off). I couldn't be happier about it all. Being Michelle McLaughlin is pretty cool, I must say.

I'm very proud and excited to be a member of the Playboy family. I want to represent young women such as myself in a positive way like Playboy's been doing for so long now.
