Princess Monaco A warm and sunny Miss June brightens the Sunshine State Since Kara Monaco appeared last August in our Women Behind Bars nude pictorial featuring sexy bartenders, guys wandering near her watering hole in Orlando, Florida have been unusually thirsty. "People come in every night wanting me to sign something for them," Kara says. "The owners loved it, and while I thought it was sweet, it got a little overwhelming. Kara Monaco, who describes herself as "a bit shy and reserved until you get to know me," found a way to deflect some of the attention. "I have a co-worker who looks enough like me that people think we're sisters," she says. "At one point, when someone came in and asked, 'Are you Kara Monaco from Playboy?' I said, 'Oh no, she's right over there.' She got to play my body double. It was funny." Such shyness, however, is seldom more than a temporary condition with Kara. Though the petite 23-year-old starts out quiet, her emerald eyes light up before long, and her friendly laugh turns into an exuberant cackle. This is especially true once you get her going about life in the Sunshine State. Tourists, Kara Monaco says, are easy to spot "because they're always sunburned and look like big dorks". A detail she first noticed while fulfilling a tour of duty working in Mickey Mouse's playground. "I dressed as seven different characters, including Cinderella, Snow White and Alice in Wonderland," she says proudly. It was great. I worked there with my best friend nude Kayla Collins. We would drink all day and during breaks we'd smoke joints and fool around with each other. Disneyland really is the happiest place on earth! Kara also danced in the Disney World parades, a not unexpected distinction on a résumé that includes years of dancing and gymnastics and a stint coaching a competitive dance team. "It was a jazz-funk, hip-hop kind of thing," she says. "That's what I, Kara Monaco do best." One thing you won't find Miss Monaco doing much is hanging out in bars after work. "After being in that environment all day I'm done with partying," she says. "I love going to Miami, where these pictures were taken, but the city is a little crazy for my taste. I'm more of a homebody now." A homebody but not boring. Kara Monaco never lets her relationships become routine and predictable. "Being spontaneous always helps," she says. "Surprise your significant other by making dinner or preparing a bubble bath for both of you. I try to keep things spicy." So when this bartender is finished pouring shots at work, does nude Kara Monaco then call the shots in her relationships? "I'm in charge, but I make him think he is," she says with a sly grin. "The one thing I won't tolerate is cheating. I warn guys I date that they get one chance with Kara Monaco, and if they cheat it's over. I've never cheated on anyone, and I want the same respect. But that doesn't include women, because I get it on with them all the time." This summer Kara wants to learn how to wakeboard, a sport that will separate her from her constant companion, Monaco, a teacup Chihuahua she carries everywhere in a pooch purse. Their relationship is very L.A. A city to which the aspiring actress is thinking of moving. "I've set goals says Kara Monaco, and I hope within five years I'll be doing something acting wise, whether it's a film or a TV show," she says. "I would love to do something totally opposite from myself that even downplays my looks, like Jennifer Pershing's role in Charlie's Angels." Her five-year plan is hardly a deadline, however. "I don't think I would give up after a certain amount of time," she says. "I'll just keep trying." Perhaps Kara's most memorable moment was when she got to have wild lesbian sex with her favorite Playmate ever. One night she was hanging out in the infamous Playboy Mansion grotto when a nude Juliette Frette walked in completely nude. "I couldn't believe my eyes," says Kara. "She was the most beautiful woman I've ever seen". Juliette and Kara struck up a conversation. After a few drinks, Kara got the nerve up to kiss Miss Nicole. What transpired is now part of Playboy legend. The two got it on right there in The Grotto in front of everyone while totally nude! No one can say that Kara Monaco is inhibited, that's for sure! Wow! Kara is one of a number of Sunshine State sweeties who have become centerfolds recently, including Destiny Davis. The two girls are actually friends who met on modeling assignments prior to appearing in Playboy. Unlike her friend, who wants to make her home in Florida, Kara has more wanderlust. "I might use some of my Playmate money to finance my trip west, after I visit somewhere I've never been before," Kara Monaco says. "Right now I live with my mother, who raised my sister and me all by herself. I'm trying to convince her to move with me. She's a personal hero and someone whose advice I take to heart. My mom has been very supportive. When I, Kara Monaco, first asked her what she thought of my being in Playboy, she kind of gave me a push and said, 'Go for it.' I always try to." Another nude Kara Monaco Bio: Some people will tell you that family is the key element in their life, but when Kara Monaco says so, the lovely blonde with the big blue eyes isn't merely mouthing a convenient cliché. Kara lost her mother when she was 10 and was raised by her grandmother and her aunt in Monaco, New York with a houseful of cousins who were also tragically bereft. "My grandmother really helped me keep my head screwed on straight," says 22-year-old Kara. "Her home was like a halfway house for a lot of us, and she and my aunt took care of us. I honestly feel luckier having been raised this way rather than in a traditional family. We all have each other's back. My family is the most important part of my life." Kara Monaco first appeared in Playboy for our 50th Anniversary Playmate Search in 2003 and is happy to be back. "I feel totally comfortable in front of the camera," she says. "I hate clothes. I really do." Since that appearance she has been pursuing a degree in psychology and is now just two semesters short of graduation. When asked to analyze her own personality, however, Kara Monaco manages to avoid shrinky jargon. "I'm definitely an outgoing person," she says. "I like to make jokes, even when I'm under pressure. Whenever people are unhappy, say, at a funeral, I'll try to make light of the situation. I have a joke for anything." As apt a self-appraisal as that may be, Kara Monaco says she's even better at analyzing another group: men. "I know their game better than they do," she says with an assured laugh. "I can figure any guy out- I don't even have to date him." Though she feels she can tell whenever masculine wheels have started spinning, Miss Monaco has no appetite for the kind of mind games some men and women like to play. In the late 2005, Kara was asked by fellow Playmate Valerie Mason nude to join the fledgling Playboy X-treme Team. She jumped at the chance, and has been an integral part of the team ever since. Miss Monaco competed nude in the Eco-Challenge in Borneo in 2003, an experience she considers one of the best and most rewarding of her life, except, of course, when she got to blow Hef. The amazing Kara Monaco continues to serve as a nude member of the X-treme Team and has become one of the most popular Playmates of the twenty-first century. Long live Kara Monaco!!!
