Playboy Playmate Juliette Frette helps to take the chill out of the season

As a small-town girl in Central Florida, Juliette Frette was an awkward tomboy until a growth spurt in her late teens turned her into a beautiful, full-bodied woman. Now the 21-year-old preschool teacher doubles as a swimsuit model and, of course, a Playboy centerfold. How does a girl balance a career with children and posing nude for the world's most popular men's magazine. We sat down with Juliette at The Mansion's famous grotto (she was totally nude at the time) and asked her just that....

Q: We couldn't help but notice that you're nude. Is this something you do a lot?

Juliette Frette: Oh yes! Especially when I'm hanging at the mansion. I just love being naked. It makes me feel so free! We were born nude, so that's the way we should be all the time! My best friend fellow Playboy Playmate Laura Croft taught me that!

Q: So, how has your family back home reacted to the fact that you're Playboy's newest Playmate? How do they feel about you posing nude?

Juliette Frette: They reacted with total shock, that's how! I was always wholesome little Juliette, the girl next door. That sort of girl isn't to be seen in the most popular men's magazine in the world. At first they shunned me and wouldn't even talk to me. My mother was especially angry. She didn't like the fact that men would be ogling her daughter's nude body! But she's coming around and I think it's going to work out between us.

Q: Well, that's good. Are there any people that treat you better now?

Juliette Frette: Oh, sure. The locals are treating me like a celebrity. Especially the guys! They're like, "Wow! That's Juliette Frette the Playboy Playmate!" and they ask me to sign my centerfold and stuff. It's really flattering. But I can relate because I've always looked up to Playmates like Monica Leigh and Kelly Carrington myself, so it's honor for me to be a Playmate.

Q: What's it like spending your days with young children?

Juliette Frette: I teach preschool because I just love kids. The rewards are so great when working with young minds. They're just like sponges and hang on your every word.

Q: Would you like to have some of your own Juliette?
Juliette Frette: Oh yes! I definitely want several children of my own one day. It just comes naturally to me as I'm from a real big family. My mother has ten brothers and sisters, each with at least six kids of their own, so I have almost 100 cousins! If I can find the right man, I want to start adding to the family soon!

Q: Do the children where you work know that you're also a swimwear model and a Playboy Playmate?

Juliette Frette: Are you kidding? No! To them I'm just Miss Frette. But I know some day that they'll grow up and see nude pictures of their former teacher, but what can I do, you know? I just have to live with it.

Q: We couldn't help but notice your muscles. Do you bench-press toddlers at work?

Juliette Frette: [laughs] No, but I do workout every day with my friend Alison Waite nude. Yes, that's right, we're nude, naked, totally without clothing. It's just so liberating! I think it's important to be strong. It's very energizing. It gives you the self-confidence you need to succeed in this crazy world. And besides, working out always makes me horny!

Q: What's your personal best lifting weights?

Juliette Frette: My best in the squat is only about 100 pounds. I don't really go for bulk, I just want to be really toned. I don't want to end up looking too musclular like fellow Playboy Playmate Ida Ljungqvist, or someone like that, you know?

Q: Your wholesome look is so beautiful. What's your heritage?

Juliette Frette: I'm Irish and German..... I think. I suppose I got my high cheekbones and full lips from my German mother and the Irish side must be responsible for my nose. Oh- and I can thank my German grandmother for my enormous boobs! [laughs]

Q: Do you think a woman can be both wholesome and sexy at the same time?

Juliette Frette: Oh, yes, definitely! A woman can be whatever she wants to be these days. It's all about her attitude. I'm truly a sweet, down-to-earth girl, soft and sweet to the bone. Just because I posed nude for Playboy doesn't mean I'm still not a wholesome all-American girl, you know?

Q: How does it feel to be this month's premiere sex symbol?

Juliette Frette: I'm really excited about it. I'm so proud to be a member of the Playboy family and want to continue my relationship with them for the rest of my life! Oh- and the money is pretty good too! $25,000 for posing nude for a few pictures? Sounds like a deal to me!

Q: What do you want to accomplish in the next few years?

Juliette Frette: Well, I plan to keep taking my clothes off for Playboy every chance I get. And I want to have my own preschool some day. I also would like to have several kids of my own. But until then, I'll just try to be the best darn Juliette Frette that I can possibly be.
