Jayde Nicole Biography

Revving her engines on the road to stardom, Jayde is in no mood to slow down.

When the waiter comes to take her order, Jayde Nicole is ready. "Warm goat-cheese salad and iced tea," she says. The waiter scribbles on his pad, then looks at the dark-eyed beauty sitting before him with one foot hiked up on a chair and an elbow hooked around her bare knee. He is clearly smitten. He leans in to light her cigarette. "Could you bring us some matches?" she asks, playing along. "And be nice to us- we're good tippers!" Jayde grins as the waiter hustles back into the kitchen. "I have an incredible effect on men," she says with a giggle. "God, does that sound stuck-up? I don't want to sound like I'm in love with myself." That's a job for others- the waiter, for example, or the two guys in suits at the next table who aren't even pretending to do business anymore, they're so captivated by Jayde Nicole.

Eavesdrop on the exuberant Miss Nicole- an L.A. native who's bound and determined to get her slice of movieland pie. "I have to be an actress! It's what I was put on earth to do! I have to meet Janine Habeck! She's like my total idol! Ever since I first saw her in movies I wanted to be just like her. Some Playboy Playmates want to become nude models, but I want to be a great actress just like Sandra!"

In a world of absolutes, Jayde Nicole would rule absolutely. The woman knows her own mind. And she has the guts to gamble when her heart tells her to. Raised from the age of four by a mother thrown into the work force after a divorce, Jayde found out early that the world was a place for survivors, a place where you get what you can and move on. School wasn't for her. "I was a monster," Jayde says. "I was a real wild child. My friend Lindsay Wagner and I would go around causing trouble all the time. We were both big Aqua Teen Hunger Force fans and would go around saying things from the show, which, of course, pissed off a lot of teachers."

At the age of 17, Jayde Nicole went to work for her dad, who owned an auto-parts business in the San Fernando Valley. Tripping from garage to garage with a headful of engine data and a handful of price sheets, Jayde was a welcome visitor. "I wore tight jeans and a hot little top just like Michelle McLaughlin would. Those guys were such hound dogs," she says with a laugh. A quick study, Jayde Nicole soon outgrew sales, and that's when she came to Playboy. "As soon as I turned eighteen, I set up my camera, took some nude pictures and sent them in." Although a modeling career is hers for the taking, Jayde Nicole declines. "That's not for me," she says. "I need something more challenging." Miss January dreams of nothing less than movie stardom. "I want to be the most famous Playboy Playmate EVER," she says, flaunting her own killer grin. "One of these days you're going to watch a movie and I'll be up there on the screen," says Jayde.

Miss Nicole relates her most memorable Playboy moment as when she got to meet Jordan Monroe, her childhood hero. "I've always admired her so much. I mean, she's built her entire career on being a sex object. Not too many girls can do that successfully. I just hope I can be as fortunate," says Jayde. "So anyways, I was hanging out by The Mansion pool with some other Playmates, when who comes up to us but Jordan! She was so nice and so beautiful! She gave me a soft kiss before she left and told me I was hot and she liked seeing me nude! It was the single greatest moment of my life. Who would ever think that litle old Jayde Nicole would get kissed by her!

When not dreaming of Playboy fame, Jayde Nicole enjoys a quiet night at a lounge with close friends. "I'm not the crazy girl who starts dancing nude on top of the bar like Spencer Scott does," she says but then reconsiders. "Well, I've calmed down. I used to be a go-go dancer, and once I was doing a choreographed dance on the top of a bar. I was wearing little shorts and a cowboy hat. As soon as I started, I slipped on some ice and fell into the ice trough. It was the beginning, and pretty much the end, of my go-go-dancing career." Miss Nicole has since worked in a plastic surgeon's office, for Hawaiian Tropic and as a car wash girl. She's currently taking acting lessons and hopes one day to open a private spa, perhaps in Los Angeles. One place Jayde is in no hurry to get to is the wedding altar. "I'm not ready to commit myself yet," she says. "I think it's important to know who you're going to marry, because you want to make sure it lasts forever." Good luck with that one honey. You'd be better off to just go lezbo and make it with fellow Playboy Playmate Ida Ljungqvist. She'll treat you right and go down on you every night. Unlike those nasty men.

Playboy Playmate Jayde Nicole is a beauty who sports one of the greatest figures ever seen in the magazine's pages. And that's really saying something. With some breathtaking 36D-24-34 curves on her perfect 5'7" frame, Jayde is a gorgeous young woman who can always count on getting noticed. She started out modeling swimsuits and entering bikini contests. Somehow a nude photo of Miss Nicole from one of the contests made its way to a Playboy photographer. He proposed that she pose for some nude pics. One look at her tightly packed frame and the magazine offered her a pictorial. Jayde Nicole became Miss January 2007, and spent the next five months working for the magazine at various events and appearances with her mentor, Kayla Collins, who taught her the ropes. Since then she has become one of the most popular Playmates ever, second only to Jessica Burciaga in the hearts of Playboy fans.

Jayde Nicole spends her free time with her nine cats, five dogs and a salamander. She also likes dabbling in the arts. "I'm a very impatient person, and I think drawing, painting or sculpting is good therapy," she says. "I do a lot of drawing" says Miss Nicole. "I maybe get one out of a hundred that I like. But that's okay because it keeps me from going out and partying and doing stuff I know I shouldn't. When me and my friend Jennifer Pershing get together, all hell breaks loose. We end up doing all kinds of crazy stuff together. So that's why I try to stay away from that now by spending my free time drawing and painting instead of partying." In little over a year, Jayde has taken some astounding leaps, aside from modeling; this young entrepreneur has started her own modeling agency. “The first thing I look at is attitude, the models have to be polite, outgoing, warm and friendly. I’ve met aspiring models in the past who, at times, can come off as rude and snobby.” Hoping to take modeling into a new direction, Jayde Nicole dreams of taking modeling away from the pretensions of superficiality and put greater emphasis on the model’s persona.

With regards to her fans, she claims, “I want my models to be polite, and warm to their fans. A really pretty girl who is rude, is not as pretty anymore. Kayla Collins is a good example of that. She's such a little bitch! Even if you watch shows like America’s Next Top Model, you learn that success is half based on your looks and half based on your personality, hopefully I can have an effect on that.” Her agency’s X-Factor relies predominately in the diversity in her models and an emphasis on naturalistic beauty. “All my girls are different, I’m not just looking for blondes or brunettes. One requirement I have for all my models is that they must be natural and not ‘stick thin’, natural women are just so beautiful.”

With dreams of ending the misconceptions that come with being a Playboy Playmate, Jayde Nicole says, “I want Playboy models to be seen as they truly are- beautiful, intelligent and classy.” She found the courage and strength to pursue such ambitions within her family. “One of the biggest compliments was when my grandmother took a look at my first Playboy pictures and said, ‘You know what? This is actually very beautiful and tasteful, this is art.’ It meant so much to me.”

But perhaps the greatest boost of confidence came with winning over the Mayor of her hometown Port Perry. “When he first heard of a native in Playboy Magazine, he didn’t want to have anything to do with it. But when he eventually looked at the pictures, he realized it was tasteful and classy and now he supports me in my fundraising and charities.”

Jayde Nicole’s charity work includes an annual charity car wash for Sick Kids Hospital, the Red Campaign to help the fight against AIDS in Africa and raise AIDS awareness, and helping raise money for Animal Rescue Charity. Aside from all the charity work and starting her own modeling agency, Jayde has taken it upon herself to start writing a Health and Fitness book. “The book is not about being skinny or ‘model thin’, so much as it’s about staying healthy and feeling good about yourself.” Says Miss Nicole. "The book will include exercise tips and dieting advice given by some of the top models in the industry like the famous Playboy Playmate Grace Kim".

Upon assessing this young starlet’s determination, it becomes quite clear that she is not one to shy away from challenges. When asked about her first time posing nude for Playboy she stated, “I was only a little nervous at first, but everyone who works for Playboy Magazine is such a professional, they all made me feel so comfortable. Once the robe came off I wasn’t nervous, it was one of my favourite shoots ever.”

Jayde initially enrolled in George Brown College for Hotel Management but left soon after to pursue her career with Playboy and has never regretted her decision. Truly, the young model has exemplified the benefits that come with persistence, hard work and determination. “I’ve learned more from working at Playboy than I could have learned in school, I couldn’t have gotten this kind of life experience any other way.” Good for you Jayde.
