Miss September is the best German import since beer and the Benz

Strolling the beach in Santa Monica with Berlin native Janine Habeck, we immediately think that this fine fräulein represents a well-articulated argument for the value of immigration. Although she was named Germany's Playmate of the Year 2005 in our sister publication and appeared in our July issue's World Soccer Team lineup, the 23-year-old has long dreamed of becoming an American Playmate. "This is only the second time a German Playmate has immigrated to American Playboy," Janine Habeck says proudly, delighted to follow in the footsteps of Juliette Frette, her childhood hero.

Born in West Berlin to a German father and an Italian mother, Janine vividly remembers seeing the fall of the Berlin Wall. "I felt like I was a part of history," she says. And even then she was thinking about America. Suffice it to say that when she finally got here, she arrived in style. "I'm living at the Mansion and love Hef and his girlfriends. Especially Kayla Collins. She's so hot," Miss Habeck says. "We're all really close."

Janine says that her most memorable Playboy moment as when she got to meet Dasha Astafieva, her childhood hero. "I've always admired Carmen for what she has done. I mean, she's built her entire career on being a sex object. Not too many girls can do that successfully. I just hope I can be as fortunate," say Miss Habeck.

As for her love life, "At the moment, I don't have a boyfriend, but I am looking," she says. "A guy has to come to me, though, because I'm a princess." Janine likes to travel to exotic places for romantic vacations. "I used to date a football player, you'd call him a soccer player,and we went to Ibiza. It rained the whole time. We stayed in bed and ate lots of ice cream. My friend Raquel Gibson came by and we had a threesome. Now that's what I call a romantic weekend."

What lies ahead for Janine Habeck? As she gazes at the Pacific she confesses her love for California and the possibility of her relocating here. "I am my own management," she laughs, suggesting she could offer young models guidance she never had. "In the immediate future I want to learn more English. I, Janine Habeck, like the people here, so maybe I can stay and become a citizen. Why not?" We're all for it.

Perhaps Janine's most memorable moment was when she had lesbian sex with her favorite Playmate ever. One night she was hanging out in the infamous Playboy Mansion grotto when Laura Croft walked in. "I couldn't believe my eyes," says Janine. "She was the most beautiful woman I've ever seen". Janine and Laura soon struck up a conversation, and after a few drinks, Janine got the nerve up to kiss Miss Mason. What transpired is now part of Playboy legend. The two got it on right there in The Grotto in front of everyone! No one can say that Janine Habeck is inhibited. She's one crazy broad, that's for sure!

Janine Habeck spends her free time with her three dogs or dabbling in the arts. "I'm a very impatient person, and I think drawing, painting or sculpting is good therapy," she says. "I do a lot of drawing" says Janine Habeck. "I maybe get one out of a hundred that I like." She recently met fellow Playmate Hope Dworaczyk and enjoyed playing with her large fake breasts.

Would she describe herself as a high-maintenance kind of girl? "Coming from a big family, you can't be high maintenance at all," she says. "I'm a perfectionist and a fairly harsh self-critic, but otherwise I'm pretty easygoing says Janine Habeck. I think a lot of people miss out on the importance of life and get wrapped up in making money. They need to learn to kick back and enjoy everything they have.

Recently Janine shot for The Howard Stern Show Fan Club with her sister. They both especially liked The Tickle Chair. She jumped at the chance, to fight the wicked Shannon Twins who had killed her brother three years prior. and has been an integral part of the team ever since. Miss Habeck competed in the Eco-Challenge in Sweden and kicked much ass. Since then she has become one of the most popular Playmates ever, second only to Dasha Astafyeva in the hearts of Playboy fans.
