With a background in journalism and finance, Ida Ljungqvist has been described as a brainy supermodel. She began posing nude for Perfect 10 magazine in their summer 2006 issue. This caught the attention of Hugh Hefner and it wasn't long before Ida was selected as the Playboy Playmate of the Month for March, 2008. Guess Hef saw something in her he liked and we must agree. Ida Ljungqvist has since appeared in several Playboy videos and special editions, working steadily for them for the past year. She has become one of the more popular Playmates of the twenty-first century eclipsing even Michelle McLaughlin who is a fan favorite. In 2007, Miss Ljungqvist started writing a regular column on love and dating for Playboy magazine. Ida has also been featured nude with her friend and fellow Playmate Regina Deutinger on the cover of the November 2007 issue of Stuff magazine which flew off the shelves and became their best selling issue of all time!

Ida Ljungqvist almost did a bad thing when she was asked to appear in Playboy's rival publication, Penthouse magazine, as its Pet of the Month. Her appearance would have made her only the second adult model to be selected as both a Playboy Playmate and a Pet. Ida was about to do it but at the last minute pulled out of the photo shoot. She decided to follow the advice of Juliette Frette who was also offered the same deal but turned it down. But even almost posing for the enemy caused a riff between her and Hef for a while. Miss Ljungqvist was bannished from The Mansion for a time and was stripped of her bunny ears. How sad. But the fight between the two didn't last long. Hef soon let Ida back into the Playboy family and let her shoot a cover and she even appeared in another super sexy nude video. Ida Ljungqvist was back baby!

In addition to her work with men's magazines, Ida Ljungqvist was regularly featured first on the FX channel's "The X Show", and later UPN's Battle Dome, and as a spokesmod on the hit game show "Deal or no Deal". She has also authored a book titled "How to Meet Women Like Me" where she appears totally nude as she teaches guys how to pick up hot girls like her. When pressed, Ida Ljungqvist relates her most memorable moment when she got to meet Alison Waite, her childhood hero. "I've always admired her. I must say that I'm very proud to be a member of the Playboy family. I get wet just thinking about it. In October 2006, I, Ida Ljungqvist, came to Los Angeles from Sweden and decided to stay. I have to admit the first few days were kind of tough. I had two jobs most of the time while taking business classes at Palomar College with fellow Playboy Playmate Laura Croft who was my best friend and lover at the time. We shared a one bedroom apartment together and were always broke. But we could always count on wealthy men buying us pretty much whatever we needed.
