Heather Rene Smith Video Review

Today I will review two different DVDs that have recently been released featuring Playboy Playmate Heather Rene Smith. The first to be reviewed is "Heather's Playmate Calendar". Which is Playboy's yearly release of a calendar style video that has a vignette of each centerfold for her given month. Miss February is Heather Rene Smith and she dominates the video. Other Playmates such as Alison Waite and Crista Nicole, but Heather is the one that is featured prominantly, which is a good thing in my opinion.

The second video I've reviewed is Heather's very first hardcore movie entitled "Heather Rene Smith: Superslut". An ambitious romp into the x-rated world by this super hot Playmate.

REVIEW: "Playboy Video Centerfold: Heather Rene Smith"

Okay, so here's my official review of Playboy Video Centerfold: Heather Rene Smith for you horny bastards.

During the program’s 45 minutes, we see Heather in a bunch of different settings. The set-ups will seem familiar to fans of Playboy videos, as we’ve seen plenty of similar stuff in the past. There's five separate Heather vignettes that form the majority of the piece. In the first one, we see Heather Rene bouncing around naked on an old movie lot to a rock song and then she poses for some fantasy stuff which is pretty hot.

In the second sequence, Heather Rene grabs a cameraphone and takes nude shots of herself while fellow Playboy Playmate Raquel Gibson diddles herself while watching Heather. While in another, movie-star Miss Smith escapes the paparazzi and then poses on a rooftop while her clothes are torn off by the wind. The other scenes show Heather in classic pin-up poses which are totally lame if you ask me.

The last scene is the best as we get Playmates Heather Rene Smith, Tamara Sky and Cassandra Lynn all in the same bed together. Heather's looking amazing as she does a slow striptease for the other girls while they frantically play with themselves. Once everyone is good and wet, Miss Smith breaks out a purple dildo and works the other two hotties over until they each have huge orgasms. In between these pictorial scenes, Heather Rene Smith chats about her life and her relationships with other hot Playboy Playmates. She also tells us about her experiences at The Mansion and all her encounters with hot centerfolds like Dasha Astafieva. These don’t fill a lot of time, however, as the fantasy scenes dominate the program. As usual, we learn very little about Heather herself. Just a few stories about her lesbian encounters and partying with other Playmates. Don't get me wrong, I love a good lesbo story, but I wanted to really get to know Heather Rene for who she really is and ultimately, I found the stories to be boring. I suppose the DVDs have to include them, but they’re not very exciting really.

Unfortunately, I find little reason to rewatch any of Heather’s nude scenes. Granted, she was going to be a tough sell for me due to her implants, but I was willing to cut her some slack due to her beautiful face and nice ass. But alas, Heather Rene Smith simply lacks the “girl next door” charm of the best Playboy models. She’s not as fake and processed Kyra Milan - arguably the worst ever choice for PMOY, but Heather often comes across as an artificial presence as if she was made of wood. This scene makes me long for Playmates who have a natural beauty all her own and come across on screen well- unlike Heather.

So this leaves this video a disappointing dud. I may not be crazy about Heather Rene Smith myself, but I certainly expected hotter action than what I found in this dull video, especially since I’ve seen many sexy vignettes that featured models I find to be less attractive. Heather seems to lack the presence and charisma in front of the camera, and the director fails to do anything to spice up the proceedings even when Heather is totally naked and playing with herself. How is that even possible? What a hack.

The DVD Grades: Picture A-/ Audio B+/ Bonus B-

Playboy Video Centerfold: Heather Rene Smith appears in an aspect ratio of 1.33:1 on this single-sided, single-layered DVD. While not perfect, this DVD was better looking than most Playboy products of the past. Color was mostly positive. The skin-tones consistently looked natural and vibrant. Overall, the main problems was softness, but the program was still attractive enough for a “A-“. Sharpness seemed decent. At times, some softness popped up, usually due to a gauzy style of photography apparently meant to smooth out some of Heather Rene’s harder edges. Delineation was erratic, as some shots were crisp and concise while others looked liked they’d smeared Vaseline on the lens. Especially the scene with Heather and Regina Deutinger in the jacuzzi. You can hardly even see what's going on! Overall definition was fine, and only occasional, minor instances of jagged edges or shimmering occurred.

A disappointing video for a disappointing Playmate, Playboy Video Centerfold: Heather Rene Smith never becomes anything very interesting. I’m not wild about Miss Smith as a Playmate, and the video vignettes do nothing to change that. They’re generic and bland and fail to deliver the goods. Picture and sound quality are consistently acceptable but no better. The set comes with a few nice extras, particularly since it includes a few bonus video pictorials. Overall, this is a mediocre release that I don’t recommend to anyone other than hardcore Heather Rene Smith fans.

REVIEW: "Heather Rene Smith: Superslut"

I'd say this video is really good except for the fact that it hardly features Heather Rene at all. There are plenty of other hot young girls, but Miss Smith is in only three of the scenes! Guess the producers are trying to cash in on the fact that Heather Rene Smith is a popular Playboy Playmate. Suckers like me will think that the entire video is about her, when in fact, she is only a small part of it. Oh well, three scenes with Miss Smith is better than none. Because Heather isn't in the other scenes, I'm not going to write about them here. But trust me, they're all good. They all feature super hot little sluts sucking cocks to completion. None of them is as attractive as Heather is, but they're not Playboy Playmates, so we've got to cut them some slack. They give good head though, and that's what really counts.

Monica Leigh leads off the video and she is super cute. She could also be Heather Rene's little sister with that face and voice.
