Initially, AJ Alexander had it kind of rough. She worked two jobs to pay the bills while taking classes at Santa Monica City College. It wasn't easy for the 21-year-old young lady. But one night, while relaxing at a sports bar, her luck improved. A producer of FOX Sports "Big Show" noticed her and offered her a position on the program. Without hesitation, AJ took the job, which lasted for about a year. This initial exposure led to modeling with California Extreme, a sportswear company where she and fellow model Ida Ljungqvist met and became best friends. This meeting would prove fatefull for the young Miss Alexander. It seems her new friend had posed nude for Playboy earlier and was invited to a Mansion Party. She was allowed to bring a female guest, so she brought AJ along with her.

So AJ went to the party with her new pal not quite sure what to expect. She was exicted, but also a little scared. As luck would have it, this party wasn't just any old Mansion party. Oh no- it was the infamous Midsummer's Night Dream Party! AJ Alexander was dressed in a super-skimpy little nighty and sexy stripper shoes. Soon she caught the attention of Playmate of the Year Kara Monaco. The two hit it off right away. Kara soon intoduced Miss Alexander to Hef himself. He could see right away that she was Playboy material and said "AJ, you're beautiful. Would you like to be a Playmate?"

Naturally, AJ Alexander said yes and soon Hef made her Miss May of 2008. From there, her career REALLY took off! Through her Playboy connections and affiliation with the sporting Playboy Extreme Team, AJ appeared on episodes of "Wild On", "Street Smarts" and "MTV's Singled Out". The latter job led to Miss Alexander co-hosting MTV's Spring Break 2007.

Playboy Enterprises also made the most of having AJ in their stable of fillies. The put her on the cover of the April issue and she was heavily featured in several of their lingerie issues and was Miss May in their 2008 calendar. AJ's Playmate video is also one of the most popular DVDs on the market today selling even more than the super-popular Playboy Playmate Lindsay Wagner.

One look at her- the spectacular blonde with the quick step, hot-pink lipstick and incendiary eyes, turning heads on Sunset Boulevard- and you know this is the savviest of big-city women. Wrong. Savvy, yes, but not big city. AJ Alexander comes fom from Evensville, a town with nearly as many letters in its name as names in its phone book. "Good fishing country," AJ says. "Not so good for night life though." And while Miss Alexander and her friend Teri Harrison have been known to dance the nights away in Hollywood clubs, she is still no wild thing. "I love to cook and clean house. I'm a girl you could take home to your mother." A good girl whose phone machine message ends "God bless" and whose lingerie drawer is full of enticing lace and chiffon- a combination guaranteed to please every mother and every mother's son. That's AJ Alexander for you.

Back home, AJ used to pull trout and bass out of the local lake and even clean them herself. In winter, she had a speedier pursuit- snowmobile races on the frozen lake. AJ remembers cooking and cleaning for her four brothers and her cousins, with whom the Alexander family shared a house in bad times.

She disliked school because, dressed in her cousins' hand-me-downs and slow to develop the figure seen here- "I was a late bloomer"- she felt ugly. AJ Alexander had barely begun blooming when her mom persuaded her to enter a local beauty pageant. To her utter shock, AJ won. "I was completely shocked," she says. That night, she decided that she might not be so bad-looking, after all. A few modeling gigs in Indiana soon led her to Japan, where she was known as "The Tokyo Kid," the American beauty who appeared on ads and magazine covers for a popular Japenes beer. Miss Alexander lived in Japan for three years and now speaks fluent Japanese. She eventually came home, bought a house, caught a few trout and looked around. Her home town was now a bit sedate for the Tokyo Kid. So AJ sold her house and moved to Los Angeles, where she had heard there might be work for an ex-ugly duckling who had turned into a spectacular international beauty.

AJ Alexander currently lives in Hollywood with fellow Playmate Tiffany Fallon. She drives a pristine yellow-and-white '69 Ford Mustang, which she restored with her brothers. Wow! Is there nothing that AJ CAN'T do?

Our favorite Playmate AJ Alexander says that she hails from "the middle of nowhere," and loves getting naughty in the great outdoors especially with other hot girls like Kia Drayton, who she's been known to hook-up with from time to time. We’re just glad she made it over the river, through the woods, and into the pages of Playboy. "I love to be ravished outside, in nature, in unexpected places. Spontaneity is also very sexy." says AJ. AN INTERVIEW WITH AJ ALEXANDER

This is the story of a tomboy from a small town in Indiana who moved to Hollywood in her search for stardom.

Look for AJ Alexander to make a big splash in 2008 as she makes her feature film debut in the movie "American Summer" and is going to be Playboy's Miss May of this year. This Indiana beauty grew up with a strong support system at home and continues to show us all how she's not only stunningly gorgeous, but smart, talented and exceptionally driven. Especially when she's completely nude.

AJ, which stands for "Amanda Jane,"first posed nude for Playboy in early 2007, and has her sights set on providing some serious competition for next year's Playmate of the Year. "I'm just now realising just how popular Playboy is and what it can do for a model's career. I know so many things can come out of getting a feature on in the magazine," she said.

Following her photo shoot with Kayla Collins Photography, AJ was kind enough to lend us a little more of her time to fill us in on how she made it from Indiana to becoming a Playmate.

CH: You seem like a really cool, laid back kind of chick. True?

AJ: Yeah, that's the tomboy in me. I'm the perfect girlfriend because I love watching sports in the nude and just hanging out with the guys.

CH: Do you play any sports?

AJ: I play all sorts of different sports. Softball, basketball, golf. I actually lettered in softball high school. I also did swimming and tennis on the side. I played sports from the age of four up until I was 17 or 18.

CH: So you're competitive?

AJ: I'm not a sore loser, but I'm definitely competitive. But I do like to win of course.

CH: What are your favorite teams.

AJ: The Colts because I'm from Indiana! And I follow the Notre Dame football and basket ball teams. Go Irish!

CH: What was your first job?

AJ: My first acting job was doing commercials for my family's miniature golf place. I eventually worked there throughout my teen years. It was such a fun place for a kid. It had bumper cars, gokarts and batting cages. My friends and I used to run around in the nude after hours. It was so much fun!!!

CH: How did you get into modeling? Indiana isn't exactly a hot bed of modeling.

AJ: When I was 19, I contacted a local agency and did a lot of promotional stuff with them. Then I was introduced to the world of nude modeling. I started getting contacted by photographers wanting to shoot, and that's kind of where it all started.

CH: Nude modeling? Tell us more!

AJ: I started on Onemodelplace.com where you can post portfolios. What happened was a photographer who'd shot me started posting pictures of me and was got real good feedback from people saying they loved looking at me in the nude.

CH: How did you make the move from Indiana to California?

AJ: I thought I would always live in Indiana because of my big family, but I had a profile on Myspace and met a guy from Los Angeles. After talking for a while, I came to visit him and sparks really flew. Photographers had been telling me for a long time that I, Miss Alexander, needed to be in California to make it in the business. But it was love that literally drove me here from Indiana. Crazy, huh?

CH: Did California give you a bit of a culture shock?

AJ: No, I was able to fit right in because I'm a golddigger like all the other girls out here.

CH: If you get to be Playmate of the Year, what will you do with your prize money?

AJ: Well, first off, I'd pay off all of my debts I have and then buy my first home. I would also buy giant fake breast implants so that AJ Alexander looks even BETTER nude, if that's possible!

CH: Describe your ideal guy.

AJ: I want a man who is smart, who has goals and lots of ambition. He needs to be indepentent too. I can't stand clingy guys. It can get pretty annoying having to teach a grown man how to write a check or do his laundry. It's nice to find a man who knows how to do all of that stuff by himself. Then, of course, good looks and behaving like a gentleman are important too.

CH: So what does a guy have to do to get your attention Miss Alexander?

AJ: I don't like pick-up lines, even clever ones. I kind of like it when he is a little shy, exchanging glances and smiles across the room, then you just say "Hi" to each other. I also hate when guys act stuck up or snobby.

CH: What's the most romantic thing a guy ever did for you?

AJ: I think it's really cool when a guy has everything planned out and surprises you. Like having an amazing dinner on the beach at sunset, while being nude, of course.

CH: So run us through the shoot you just did for Playboy Miss Alexander.

AJ: My Playboy shoot was a very fun experience. You'll probably see on the video where I was dancing nude the whole time to the music they had playing, and everyone on the set had fun that day. The whole crew made me feel as if I'd known them my whole life. And it really helped that my friend Kelly Carrington was there to cheer me on. I just love her.

CH: Alas, we are just getting to know you, AJ, but we hope we get to see you fulfill all of your dreams and have a happy and nude life Miss Alexander.
